Treehouse Camping: Is This The New Glamping Trend?

Treehouse camping glamping trends

Why do we all get such a thrill from treehouse camping in tents and other unique structures? Is it that it allows us to reach that place we’ve always wanted to be since we were kids… up in the tree canopy with the birds, giving us a vision of what it would be like to fly? Or is it because it’s one step away from camping without being in a hotel, while still being able to enjoy the outdoor life? Whatever the reason, it seems we all get a huge kick out of this type of camping… or should I say treehouse glamping?

We’ve seen many camping trends come and go over the years but none have been so determined to stick around than glamping.

Believe it or not but there are many people who don’t actually enjoy the activity of traditional camping. They try it once or twice but are soon put off by the lack of facilities, creepy crawlies and leaky tents, so they return home disappointed and lacking in any great desire to return again.

However, this doesn’t necessary remove the need most people have to stay in our great outdoors, soaking up the atmosphere, doing things they wouldn’t normally do in their daily life and absorbing the fresh air.

Treehouse camping (or glamping) allows people to take a much more luxurious stay outside. In fact, it’s proving so popular that new treehouse innovations and businesses are popping up all over the place. There’s even the promise of a spectacular treehouse being shown in the new series of George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, after already featuring a tree tent in series 1.

So for a bit of eye candy we’ve pulled together a gorgeous collection of treehouses and tree tents from across the globe to give you inspiration to stay in one or even make your own.

Lovely! We know that the glamping-trend continues. Look what a gorgeous place I visited this summer in the Dordogne, France: Wooden castles, hidden in treetops where you can relax in your own private whirlpool at nights whilst looking for owls and other nightlife! Enjoy! And should you wish to receive our magazine, just contact us!
